Two Toledos Update
Two Toledos Update
Two Toledos is a film that we are creating to commemorate the rich history of the sister cities Toledo, Ohio and Toledo, Spain. We had the good fortune to be able to spend the entire summer in Spain filming the first half of the documentary and making many new friends. In June, the Toledo Diocesan Choir performed in Toledo, Spain to celebrate the upcoming 75th anniversary of the sister cities relationship. Their standing room only performance at the Santo Tomé church in Toledo provided us with the opportunity to capture the most recent cultural exchange between our cities. Exchanges such as these are what have forged the bonds between our two cities and have helped to create the sister cities model that has been implemented across the globe.
Now, we turn our attention back to Toledo, Ohio where we are currently filming the second half of the production. Over the next several months we will finish the shooting and editing of the film in preparation for the May 2006 75th anniversary festivities and film premiere. Also, during this period we continue to raise funds to insure the success of the film. We would like to thank our sponsors Marcos Pizza, The Association of Two Toledos, AAA of Northwest Ohio, Vertigo Productions, Lee Murray, Phoebe Ballard, and our broadcast partner WGTE TV30. If you would like to learn more about the documentary and about how you can get involved, please visit www.twotoledos.com or www.dostoledos.com para ver la página en español.
Thank You,
Jacob David and Joel Washing, Two Toledos Producers
