We went to our first Bull Fight or Corrida at Las Ventas bull ring in Madrid. The bull fight is steeped in tradition going back more than 800 years.

Man you post one thing about bullfighting and it gets hit with three spam comments. Well like my friend Jon said on his howbourgeois.blogspot.com blog... Bang! No spam here!
Actually I did enjoy it. People kept warning me about how much blood there would be, but honestly it didn't bother me. I can't really explain why. Torture of animals for cosmetic testing has always bothered me but when it came to entertainment in the form of the corrida I didn't have a problem. There is an element of beauty you see in the corrida that is absent from a medical lab. There is great respect shown to the animal eventhough it still dies in the end. There is one thing though that I feel could be done to enhance the bullfight experience for the spectator. Included in the price of admission should be a steak dinner.
